1. Local Storage Only
All messages you generate using WriteRight are stored exclusively on your device. No message, draft, or generated content is ever transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party operated by WriteRight.
2. Your Gemini API Key
Your Gemini API key is stored only on your device using secure local storage. It is used solely to communicate with Google's Gemini AI service on your behalf to generate professional messages.
- The key is never sent to WriteRight's servers — we do not have any servers.
- The key is only transmitted directly to Google's Gemini API (aistudio.google.com).
- You can remove your key at any time from the Settings screen.
3. No Data Sharing
WriteRight does not share any information with other apps or services automatically. The only action that shares content is when you explicitly tap the Share button, which uses your device's standard Android sharing feature and is entirely under your control.
4. No Tracking or Analytics
We do not use any analytics tools, crash reporters, or user tracking of any kind. We do not collect:
- Your name, email, or phone number
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage statistics or behaviour data
5. Safe to Use Offline
WriteRight is a fully offline-capable app. The Quick Template mode works completely without internet. Your data stays on your phone at all times. No account creation is required to use the app.
6. Third-Party Services
When AI Mode is enabled and you generate a message, the text you typed is sent to Google's Gemini API using your personal API key. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for how they handle API requests:
